Numeracy resources

The Government has set the challenging target that 95% of adults will have the basic skills of functional literacy and numeracy by 2020 and that by 2011 81% should be qualified to at least entry level 3.

The National Audit Office Report  (Skills for Life: Progress in improving adult literacy and numeracy, June 2008) recognises that a step change is needed to achieve these numeracy ambitions – not more of the same but more of what works most effectively in engaging learners and helping them to progress.

The direct approach to promotion, engagement and delivery that Move On offers, highlights opportunity for all rather than need for some. It describes the benefits that learning and qualifications can bring, and encourages people to believe that they can progress.

We ask you to log in if you haven't done so, to enable us to offer you free Move On resources in return for collecting a small amount of information from you every few months so that we can evaluate the effectiveness of the programme and give feedback to the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) which funds our work.
