Resources on line Skillswise This is a BBC web site with factsheets, games, quizzes and worksheets. Click on the link for the Reading section and try the activities on ‘Scanning’ and ‘Skimming’. Reading
Keyskills4u This is a Key Skills web site for students. Click on the link and follow the instructions. Key Skills Trainer - Select 'Enter site' next to Key Skills > Trainer

- Select 'Communication and Application of Number Level 1'
- Select 'Check your skills and learn'
- Select 'Reading' (under Communication)
- On page 1, look at ‘Find and use facts’ and ‘Find and recognise opinions’.
